ASCENSION PARISH, LA – A 29-year-old woman was left dead after a car versus pedestrian crash in Prairieville Tuesday night.
The collision happened around 10:30 p.m., WAFB reported. The pedestrian, who was identified as Allie Braud, was crossing US 61 South when she was hit by an F-150 pickup truck.
It is unclear if the pickup truck driver was impaired or influenced by alcohol. The driver was wearing a seatbelt.
Braud succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
