NATCHITOCHES PARISH, LA – A 24-year-old man has died after sustaining injuries in a UTV rollover accident on Saturday just east of Ashland, reports KTBS 3 abc.
Police say the incident happened on Saturday night on the Louisiana Trails near Bumgardner Road.
The victim was a passenger in a 2016 Can Am Maveritck UTV. The driver of the UTV, identified as 21-year-old Jacob L. Pullig, lost control of the vehicle when it began to have mechanical issues. The vehicle veered from the trail and flipped multiple times.
Medics airlifted the victim to a hospital in Shreveport, where he died the following morning. Authorities have identified him as Joshua W. Feirn.
It is unclear if the driver of the UTV, Jacob Pullig, sustained any injuries in the crash. Police arrested Pullig and charged him with driving while intoxicated and vehicular homicide.
