One hospitalized, one dead following two-vehicle crash in Livingston Parish

LIVINGSTON PARISH, LA – An 81-year-old man’s life was claimed in a two-vehicle collision in Walker Tuesday. 

The crash occurred on Cane Market Road, WAFB reported. 

A Ford Excursion hit the 81-year-old man after he did not stop at a stop sign. The impact led Freddie Minton, the 81-year-old man, to die from his injuries. 

Louisiana State Police said Minton did not wear his seatbelt. 

The driver of the Excursion was belted and was hospitalized for non-life-threatening injuries.
