RAYNE, LA – A 42-year-old woman was fatally struck by a car traveling east on U.S. 90 while walking on the westbound lanes of U.S. 90 around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday night. The pedestrian, who was identified as Amanda Soileaux of Rayne, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver was not impaired and wore a seatbelt.
