Narrative
RAPIDES PARISH, LA – A driver of a 2006 GMC Envoy attempted to make a U-turn on Highway 28, and failed to yield to an eastbound motorcycle, resulting in the motorcyclist losing his life Tuesday. The force of the crash prompted the motorcyclist, Ray Tarver Jr, 61, from Deville, to be thrown from his bike. Despite Tarver wearing a helmet, he suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver – Leslie Tam – was not hurt. Louisiana State Police have not revealed pending charges.
