PLAQUEMINE, LA – A 29-year-old man succumbed to fatal wounds after he collided with a tree along Louisiana Highway 77 Tuesday.
This collision happened before 3 a.m. Louisiana State Police said for reasons unclear, the driver of the 1996 Chevrolet pickup truck — Brandon Parker from Plaquemine — lost control of his vehicle prior to going down the embankment and striking the tree.
Despite wearing a safety device, Parker died from his injuries at the scene.
