Narrative
CUT OFF, LA – A 66-year-old man riding a bicycle died Wednesday after he tried to cross LA Highway 1 and was struck by the driver of a 2022 Chevrolet Trailblazer. It is unclear why the cyclist crossed. Upon arrival, first responders took the 66-year-old man — Henry Savoie of Larose — to a hospital, where he later died. The driver submitted a breath sample and was confirmed to have not been impaired. Louisiana State Police have launched an investigation and provided no additional information at this time.
