SABINE PARISH, LA – A driver did not slow down and hit the back of a driver’s log truck, who was waiting to turn right from U.S. Hwy 171, which resulted in him and his passengers suffering fatal injuries Wednesday. The collision happened before 4 p.m. The log truck driver sustained minor injuries. The driver of the car was identified as 66-year-old Billy Meshell. His passengers were 15-year-old and 17-year-old teenagers whose names were not shared due to their status as juveniles
