Two women were left dead after a head-on crash on Louisiana Highway 16 in Franklinton on Tuesday, May 9th. The driver of Traffic Unit 1, 43-year-old Robin Polk, was traveling west when for reasons unclear, she crossed over into the eastbound lanes and collided head-on with Traffic Unit 2. The driver of Traffic Unit 1 was not wearing a seatbelt, and it is unknown if the driver of Traffic Unit 2, 20-year-old Isabella Perez, wore hers. Both women died at the scene.
