Narrative
SCOTT, LA – Two were injured, and a 22-year-old man was killed when their driver drifted off LA 93 North, struck an embankment, and when their pickup truck rolled over. This fatal wreck happened around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday. The 22-year-old man – Eli Citizen Jr. – was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver – 23-year-old Daylan J. Babineaux – suffered serious injuries, while another passenger sustained minor wounds. Babineaux was sent to a hospital for treatment, and it appears the other passenger was not sent to a hospital. The other passenger wore a seatbelt and was not thrown from the truck, while Babineaux and Citizen did not wear seatbelts and were thrown from the vehicle. It is unclear if speed and impairment played a role in this fatal wreck.
