Narrative
HOLDEN, MA – Two were seriously injured, and a 22-year-old man suffered fatal injuries after a crash involving a tree before 8 p.m. Tuesday. A preliminary report showed that the driver of a 2013 Volkswagen Beetle failed to negotiate a curve on LA 441. This caused the car to run off the road and strike a tree. Three were thrown from the car. It was James Ard of Holden who suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Louisiana State Police said Ard did not wear his seatbelt. Two others suffered serious injuries. It is unclear who was driving. Police are investigating additional information.
