Ouachita Parish Crash Reports

OUACHITA PARISH, LA – According to Vicksburg Post, one woman was killed in a two-vehicle crash on Hwy 838 in Ouachita Parish on Monday. Authorities say the victim was driving south on Well Road when they didn’t stop at stop a stop sign, and was struck by a concrete truck driving west on Hwy 838. The victim was transported to a local hospital where they died from their injuries. The driver of the concrete truck was not injured. An investigation is currently underway. WEST MONROE, LA – A 67-year-old man died when his pickup truck crashed along a highway in West Monroe on Monday morning, reports KTVE 10. Police say the incident happened just after 8 a.m. when the victim’s southbound 2007 GMC Sierra veered off of LA-34 and collided with a tree. The crash happened just north of LA-557. Authorities identified the victim as William F. Guraedy of West Monroe. Guraedy died at the scene of the accident. It is unclear if the victim was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the collision. A full investigation of the incident is underway.

STERLINGTON, LA – A 76-year-old woman died on Saturday night when a vehicle collided with her car along a highway in Sterlington, reports KTVE 10. Police say the incident happened just after 9 p.m. when the victim attempted to turn left in her 2011 Ford Explorer from the southbound side of US-183 onto Lenox Bridge Road. A second vehicle crashed into the Ford as it crossed into the northbound lanes of US-183. Medics transported the driver of the Ford to a local hospital, where she died on Monday. OUACHITA PARISH, SC – A 34-year-old man died after his SUV crashed along a highway north of Columbia on Tuesday evening, News Star reports. Police say the incident happened just after 6 p.m. on LA-557 north of LA-4 in Ouachita Parish. For unknown reasons, the driver of a 2008 GMC Envoy veered away from his southbound path on LA-557 and crashed into a tree on the side of the road. The driver of the SUV was not wearing a seatbelt and died after transport to an area hospital. Authorities identified the victim as Joseph A. Ford IV of West Monroe.

WEST MONROE, LA – A 77-year-old man died in a two-vehicle collision on Louisiana Highway 617 in Ouachita Parish Thursday afternoon, KTVE reports. The incident happened around 4:15 p.m. south of Louisiana Highway 838 in West Monroe when a 2015 Nissan Sentra turned onto LA-617 from a private driveway. The driver of the Nissan failed to yield and entered the path of a southbound 2013 Ford F-250. Authorities have identified the victim of the crash as Prince Sparks of Monroe.
