Single-vehicle crash on LA-913 in Catahoula Parish kills 1

SICILY ISLAND, LA – A 30-year-old man died early Friday morning when his pickup truck crashed along a highway in Sicily Island, reports KTVE 10. Police say the incident happened around 5 a.m. on LA-913 near LA-915. The preliminary investigation revealed that the victim’s southbound Ford F-150 veered from the road, crashed into several trees, and flipped. The force of the collision threw the driver from his truck, and he died at the scene of the accident. Authorities identified the unrestrained victim as Jon M. McMurry of Winnsboro.
