BATON ROUGE, LA – One person went to the hospital with serious injuries after his dirt bike crashed and ignited during a police chase in Baton Rouge on Tuesday, reports WBRZ 2.
The incident happened around 4 p.m. on Fairfields Avenue near Plank Road.
Police say they were pursuing four riders on dirt bikes when one of the riders crashed. The suspect attempted to flee the scene after his bike caught fire but was apprehended by authorities and transported to a local hospital.
The other riders escaped from police. It is unclear at this time why the authorities were attempting to stop the riders. A full investigation is underway.
