LAPLACE, LA – A crash involving two overturned vehicles closed the westbound lanes of traffic on I-10 Thursday morning near the Bell Terre exit, reports WDSU 6 News.
Police say the incident happened around 9 a.m. at mile marker 203. One lane of traffic re-opened around 10 a.m., but the other lane remained closed for around two hours while crews worked to investigate and clear the scene.
Medics airlifted one person to the hospital with injuries, though they are expected to recover.
Authorities have not yet commented on how the crash happened or how many people were involved.
The incident remains under investigation.
