NEW ORLEANS, LA – A man was killed and several other people were hurt in a multi-vehicle crash on I-10 in New Orleans on Monday morning. Police say the accident happened just before 8:30 a.m. on I-10 West near Crowder Boulevard. Investigators say a Cadillac Escalade rear-ended a Honda Civic. The initial collision then resulted in a multi-car pileup that involved a Kia Forte, Chevrolet Silverado, Toyota Tacoma, and Mercedes-Benz.
The Honda’s driver died at the scene, while the occupants of of the Cadillac, Kia, and Toyota were each transported to a local hospital for treatment. The driver of the Mercedes-Benz and their 3-year-old passenger were also hospitalized and listed in stable condition. The driver of the Silverado did not report any injuries.
