ST. TAMMANY PARISH, LA – A 38-year-old male passenger died Wednesday night after the vehicle in which he was riding crashed along the interstate in St. Tammany Parish, reports WGNO abc News.
Police say the incident happened around 9:30 p.m. on the northbound side of I-59 near Slidell.
The preliminary investigation suggests that for unknown reasons, a northbound Toyota Tundra left the roadway and hit a utility pole before catching fire.
Medics transported the driver and one passenger to the hospital with serious injuries.
A second passenger, identified as Errol Childs of Mississippi, died at the scene of the collision.
