NEW ORLEANS, LA – A woman died on Thursday after her car was struck by another vehicle on the interstate in northeastern New Orleans, reports WGNO 10.
Police say the incident happened around 2:30 a.m. near mile marker 257 on the Twin Span Bridge.
The preliminary investigation suggests that the victim’s disabled vehicle was struck from behind by a car travelling east on I-10 towards Slidell.
The female driver of the disabled vehicle died from injuries sustained in the crash. Authorities have not yet released her identity.
Medics transported the male driver of the second vehicle to the hospital in stable condition.
The crash remains under investigation.
