Crash involving dump truck kills 1 in St. Tammany Parish

SLIDELL, LA – A 20-year-old man died, and two other people went to the hospital this weekend after two vehicles collided on the interstate in Slidell, reports WGNO News.

Police say the incident happened Saturday morning on the eastbound side of I-10 near Fremeaux Avenue.

A preliminary investigation suggests that an eastbound 2021 Toyota Corolla struck the rear of a 2003 Mack dump truck.

An unrestrained passenger in the sedan died from injuries sustained in the crash. Authorities identified him as Arthuris Rapp of Mississippi.

The driver of the sedan and another passenger were taken to the hospital with moderate injuries.
