SCOTT, LA – A female pedestrian was hit and killed by a pickup truck near Scott on Wednesday, KLFY reports.
Police say the incident occurred just before 3 a.m. when a 2015 Ram 1500 pickup truck ran over an unidentified female pedestrian in the middle of U.S. Highway 90 near Andres Road.
The truck driver sustained mild injuries.
Authorities took toxicology samples from both parties, though they do not suspect impairment on the part of the truck driver. The investigation is ongoing.
