1 killed, 5 injured in 2-vehicle Bogalusa crash on LA-21

BOGALUSA, LA – A 35-year-old man died, and five others were hurt when two vehicles collided head-on along a highway in north Washington Parish last Saturday.

CBS 42 reports that the incident happened just after 10:45 p.m. on July 30th on the southbound side of LA-21 near Little Southern Village Road.

Police say a man drove his Toyota Tundra north in a southbound lane of LA-21 and crashed into a southbound Jeep Grand Cherokee with five occupants.

The unrestrained driver of the Toyota, identified as Kevin Christensen, died at the scene of the accident.

Medics transported the driver of the Jeep to the hospital with serious injuries. Four passengers in the Jeep also sustained injuries and were taken to the hospital for treatment.

The incident remains under investigation.
